Motorcyclist Dies after Running Through Red Light and Crashing into Sedan in Lake Elsinore

 
LAKE ELSINORE, CA (February 8, 2022)Ryan Rice died in a motorcycle accident in Lake Elsinore on Sunday evening.
 
The accident happened around 7:00 p.m. on February 6 at Grand Avenue and McVicker Canyon Park Road. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Rice was riding his motorcycle when he allegedly ran a red light. At the same time, a sedan entered the intersection on a green light.
 
Rice collided with the sedan at the intersection. The impact hurled him onto Grand Avenue.
 
Riverside County Fire Department paramedics arrived soon after and pronounced Rice dead at the scene.
 
A ground ambulance took the other motorist to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar for treatment of minor injuries.
 
Rice was a 38-year-old Lake Elsinore resident.
 
At this time, authorities are still investigating the accident.
