Ruby Narvaez Struck, Killed by Trailer on Juniper Avenue near Baseline Avenue

FONTANA, CA (October 6, 2021) — Ruby Narvaez died after being struck by a cargo trailer towed by an SUV on Juniper Avenue near Baseline Avenue.

According to officers and the San Bernardino County Fire, the fatal incident happened around 3:23 p.m. on September 29.

As Narvaez was holding the gate open for a driver in a black Ford Expedition, events took a turn for the worst. The Ford drove out of the driveway onto Juniper Avenue. However, Narvaez began to close the gate but closed it too early. As a result, the trailer struck her, causing her severe injuries.

Moments later, paramedics responded and administered life-saving measures. However, efforts fell short, and the Wayne Ruble Middle School student died soon after.
