Ruben Castano Killed in Scooter Accident on South Figueroa Street [Vermont Square, CA]

16-Year-Old Ruben Castano Identified as Fatal Victim of Scooter Crash in Vermont Square

 
VERMONT SQUARE, CA (February 14, 2022) – Ruben Castano died in a scooter accident in the Vermont Square area of Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:00 p.m. on February 9 in the 4200 block of Figueroa Street, just near the Harbor (110) Freeway. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, Castano was riding his scooter when he collided with another vehicle.
 
As a result, Castano suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 16-year-old Los Angeles resident, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
 
Paramedics took another person to a hospital in an unknown condition.
 
The circumstances of this fatal crash remain under investigation.
