Roni Gage Killed, Giovanni Fissore Detained in DUI Pedestrian Accident on Dougherty Road near Dublin Boulevard

 
DUBLIN, CA (August 4, 2022) — Roni Gage died in a pedestrian accident on Dougherty Road near Dublin Boulevard on Sunday.
 
According to the Dublin Police Department, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 10:00 a.m. For possible DUI-related reasons, 42-year-old Giovanni Fissore struck 39-year-old Gage who was walking in the southbound lanes of Dougherty Road.
 
Shortly after, the Alameda County Fire Department arrived at the scene and found a Chevrolet SUV and Gage with severe injuries. Despite providing life-saving efforts, the Dublin man succumbed to his injuries.
 
Shortly after, authorities arrested Fissore on suspicion of DUI. It appears his child was in the car at the time of the crash.
