Two-Car Accident on Story Road near Highway 101 Kills Elderly Driver
SAN JOSE, CA (March 3, 2021) – An elderly man died in a two-car accident two weeks ago in San Jose.
The accident happened around 10:07 a.m., February 15 on Story Road near Highway 101.
According to the San Jose Police Department, the man was traveling eastbound on Story Road in a 1991 Honda Accord when he suffered a medical episode. He lost control of his car and collided into a westbound 2007 Honda Accord turning left onto Via Ferrari.
As a result, the elderly driver of the 1991 Honda sustained serious injures and was transported to a local hospital. He died the night of February 19.
The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office identified him as 80-year-old Roeung Ke of San Jose.
Meanwhile, the occupants of the 2007 Honda, a woman and a 16-year-old girl, were also taken to the hospital and are expected to survive, police said.
