Robin Abington Dies in Oroville Motorcycle Accident on Long Bar Road near Canyon Highlands Drive

 
OROVILLE, CA (March 26, 2021) — Robin Abington died in a motorcycle accident on Long Bar Road near Canyon Highlands Drive Tuesday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal motorcycle crash happened around 2:00 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, Abington tried to pass up a car in front of her. In doing so, the 54-year-old Oroville woman steered into the opposing lane to pass up the driver. However, her bike collided head-on with a northbound Honda pickup truck.
 
Shortly after, medical crews arrived to administer aid, but Abington died a short time later. Meanwhile, the Honda driver avoided injury in the accident.
