Major Accident at Culver Drive and Portola Parkway Closes Irvine Intersection
IRVINE, CA (August 17, 2021) – A major accident caused road closure at Culver Drive and Portola Parkway, Thursday morning.
According to the Irvine Police Department, the incident happened on August 12, at about 5:00 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, an unspecified number of vehicles became involved in a collision.
It is unknown whether any injuries were sustained.
Officers temporarily closed the intersection and advised morning commuters to use Orchard Hills for school drop-off.
Irvine police continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
