SANTA ROSA, CA (August 9, 2021) — A motorcycle collision at Santa Rosa Avenue and Elsa Drive left a 39-year-old man injured Tuesday morning in Santa Rosa.
 
The Santa Rosa police said the incident happened at about 11:45 a.m. The man was riding a motorcycle southbound. A Ford SUV was traveling southbound at the same time. When the SUV attempted to turn left from a center turn lane, the motorcyclist struck its side.
 
Law enforcers and paramedics found the motorcyclist down on the roadway when they arrived at the scene. The SUV, meanwhile, was parked on the side of Elsa Drive near the intersection.
 
Officials said the 39-year-old motorcyclist received treatment in a local hospital due to life-threatening injuries. He was unable to speak, they said.
 
The driver of the SUV did not report any injuries and cooperated with the authorities. Meanwhile. whether speed or impairment was a factor in the collision is still under investigation.
