Rider Hurt in Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Accident on 60 Freeway in Moreno Valley
MORENO VALLEY, CA (June 6, 2022) — A rider suffered major injuries in a hit-and-run motorcycle crash on the 60 Freeway near Nason Street on Thursday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the hit-and-run happened around 12:20 a.m. Traveling at a high rate of speed, a driver in a black sedan approaching a 2009 Suzuki motorcycle in the No. 2 lane slammed into the back of the motorcycle.
As a result, the rider was ejected from the motorcycle and was seen hobbling toward the right shoulder of the freeway, as captured by a dashcam from a nearby driver.
Soon after, emergency personnel brought the victim to Riverside University Health System’s Hospital with major injuries.
At this time, the hit-and-run driver has not been accounted for. If anyone has information on this crash or the driver, call the CHP accident investigation unit at 951-637-8000.
