HESPERIA, CA (August 25, 2022) — A rider was injured in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident on Main Street and Escondido Avenue on Tuesday.
 
According to Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez, the hit-and-run happened around 12:30 a.m. at the intersection. For unknown reasons, a driver of a Honda Accord rear-ended a stopped motorcyclist, waiting at the red traffic light.
 
However, rather than trying to help the victim, the Honda driver left the scene, leaving behind a front bumper and the rider with minor injuries.
 
At this time, police have yet to locate the driver of the Honda, which sustained moderate front-end damage and has a license plate starting with the “T2.”
