Ravneel Vilash Dies in Hit-and-Run 3-Car Crash on Santa Clara Street at 10th Street

 
SAN JOSE, CA (September 7, 2021) — Ravneel Vilash died in a hit-and-run 3-car accident on Santa Clara Street at 10th Street Thursday night.
 
According to police, the deadly car crash happened around 10:32 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a 2005 BMW sedan blew through a red traffic light. As a result, the BMW slammed into a gray 2010 Nissan SUV traveling south on 10th Street. Subsequently, the Nissan struck a sidewalk barrier and storefront while the BMW ricocheted into a black 2012 Acura SUV.
 
Following the collision, the driver of the BMW fled the scene, leaving an occupant of the Nissan with fatal injuries. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office has identified him as 22-year-old Vilash of Hayward.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics responded and transported the Nissan’s driver and another passenger to a hospital with moderate to major injuries. Fortunately, the driver of the Acura evaded harm.
