Raul Ibarra Jr. Causes Fatal DUI Crash on 14th Avenue at Iona Avenue in Hanford

 
HANFORD, CA (August 31, 2022) – Police arrested Raul Ibarra Jr. following a head-on crash on 14th Avenue on August 27.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just south of Iona Avenue.
 
Based on reports, the driver of a 2012 Chevy Silverado was traveling north on 14th prior to the crash. Subsequently, it crossed into the southbound lane and collided head-on crash with an oncoming 2021 Chevy Trailblazer.
 
As a result, a 61-year-old woman in the passenger seat of the Trailblazer died at the scene. The victim’s name was not yet available, pending kin notification. The 61-year-old man driving the Trailblazer suffered major injuries. Paramedics airlifted the victim to Kaweah Medical for treatment.
 
The investigating officer conducted a DUI evaluation and determined the driver of the Silverado, 31-year-old Raul Michael Ibarra Jr. was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. In the end, officers arrested him at the scene.
 
At this point, no other details are available. Also, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
