Ramon Lujan Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 [Fresno, CA]

28-Year-Old Ramon Lujan Fatally Struck by Several Cars on Highway 99 near Belmont Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (August 3, 2021) – Ramon Lujan was killed in a pedestrian accident on Highway 99 in Fresno County early Sunday morning.
 
The accident happened just after 12:30 a.m. on August 1, near the Belmont Avenue off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 28-year-old man walked out into traffic when a vehicle struck him. While he was lying in the roadway, several other cars hit him.
 
As a result, Lujan suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
It is unknown if the involved drivers remained or fled the scene after the crash.
 
Several lanes of traffic were shut down for several hours on Sunday morning as officers investigated the fatality.
