Ramon Alvarado Dies in ATV Crash on Fowler Avenue near Elkhorn Avenue

 
SELMA, CA (June 18, 2021) — Ramon Alvarado died in an ATV accident on Fowler Avenue at Elkhorn Avenue Tuesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened around 11:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, 53-year-old Alvarado lost control of the Suzuki 400 quad four-wheeler on a vineyard dirt road. As a result, the ATV overturned and ejected him and a 5-year-old boy onto the road.
 
Due to the nature of the crash, Alvarado did not survive his injuries.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded and transported the child to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
 
At this time, authorities have not confirmed the root of the accident. However, they have ruled out DUI as a possible source. If anyone has more details on this accident, please contact the CHP.
