Prajal Bista Dies in 2-Car Crash on County Road 97 at Highway 16

 
WOODLAND, CA (April 19, 2022) — Prajal Bista died in a two-car accident on County Road 97 at Highway 16 on Thursday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened at approximately 11:00 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, 33-year-old Bista crashed his Honda Civic into a northbound Chevrolet Impala while heading westbound on Highway 16.
 
Due to the crash, the Civic slammed into a power pole while the Impala struck a utility box and overturned onto its roof.
 
Following the collision, Bista succumbed to his injuries at the scene while paramedics brought the 25-year-old Chevy driver to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
 
At this time, officers have ruled out DUI as a possible motive for this crash. However, an ongoing investigation should iron out any details.
