Indio PD Motorcycle Officer Sustains Injuries after Crash with Vehicle on Jackson Street
INDIO, CA (April 16, 2023) – An Indio police motorcycle officer was injured in a traffic accident at Jackson Street and Odlum Drive on Saturday afternoon.
The accident happened around 3:31 p.m. on April 15, just near the Indian Palms Country club and Resort. According to the CHP, the officer was on a festival traffic duty when he got involved in a crash with a vehicle.
First responders airlifted the officer to a nearby hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle was unharmed and cooperated with police.
Both vehicles sustained significant damage from the crash.
