Plane Crashes in Strawberry Field on Highway 101 in Oxnard Killing the Pilot
OXNARD, CA (June 13, 2022) – A pilot was killed in a plane crash on Highway 101 in Oxnard Friday morning on June 10.
The crash happened around 8:00 a.m. on the north side of the highway near the Camarillo Airport. According to the Ventura County Fire Department, the small plane struck a building and crashed into a strawberry field. It then immediately became engulfed in flames.
Sadly, the pilot was killed in the crash. The identity of the victim was withheld at this time.
No additional details were available or the possibility of other passengers on board. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
