Suspected Fatal Accident Occurs on Highway 395 in Doyle

 
DOYLE, CA (July 18, 2022) – Police are now investigating a suspected fatal accident involving a big rig on Highway 395 on July 14.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at approximately 5:30 PM.
 
Based on a report, the big rig collided with a pickup truck head-on. Prior to that, the big rig was heading south while the pickup was heading north. As of now, it is not clear what led to the crash and which vehicle veered into the opposite lane. A report showed that the big rig caught fire in the incident.
 
A witness said the driver of the semi was able to escape before it burst into flames. However, the witness believed the pickup driver possibly died in the collision. Detectives are still working to confirm this information.
 
At this point, an investigation is ongoing. Also, other details are not yet clear at this time.
