Person Dies in Wrong-Way DUI Crash on Avenue 12
MADERA COUNTY, CA (November 15, 2021) — One person died in a wrong-way DUI accident on Avenue 12 near Road 36 1/2.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal two-car crash happened during dense heavy fog. For DUI reasons, a wrong-way driver crashed into a white BMW carrying a woman and three juveniles.
Soon after, emergency personnel responded and transported the four people inside the BMW to a hospital for treatment. As for the wrong-way driver, he or she died in the accident.
At this time, the case requires additional investigation. However, anyone with more information on this deadly crash should call the CHP.
