Person Dies in Solo-Car Crash on Santa Rosa Avenue

 
SANTA ROSA, CA (July 27, 2021) — One person died in a solo-car accident on Santa Rosa Avenue near Yolanda Avenue Saturday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal car accident happened around 3:10 p.m. For unknown reasons, a Toyota Camry heading northbound on the highway drifted to the right, traveled down a ditch and smashed through a chain-link fence before hitting two trees.
 
Shortly after, responders arrived and found the vehicle on its roof and on fire, with one occupant who had been trapped inside. Unfortunately, that person died at the scene.
 
At this time, detectives have no knowledge on whether anyone else was involved in the crash or if the deceased had been the driver or passenger. Although, those with more information on this fatal accident should call the Santa Rosa Police Department.
