MENLO PARK, CA (March 26, 2021) — A person was killed in a pedestrian accident on Encinal Avenue near Garwood Way Thursday morning.
 
According to a Caltrain spokesperson, the accident happened around 11:45 a.m. For unknown reasons, an unidentified pedestrian was near the train tracks when train No. 243 began approaching the area. Shortly after, the northbound Caltrain struck the pedestrian, resulting in a fatality.
 
Per reports, 18 passengers on board the train avoided harm in the accident.
