BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 22, 2021) — One person dies after a motorcycle crashes into a big rig on the 5 Freeway near Highway 166.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident happened around 9:53 am. On the northbound freeway, a motorcyclist collided with a semi-truck. However, the details prior to the impact remain unclear.
 
Soon after, the coroner’s office responded to the scene around 10:36 p.m. to tend to the fatal victim.
 
At this time, detectives have not released information on the victim’s name and what led to the crash. Although, we will update this report once we receive additional information.
