Person Dies, Car Crashes Into Light Pole on Orange Street in Riverside

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (June 23, 2022) — One person died after a car crashed into a light pole on Orange Street at Tyco Drive on Wednesday.
 
According to the Riverside Police Department, the fatal single-car accident happened around 12:15 a.m. For unknown reasons, a 28-year-old man driving a Dodge Grand Caravan northbound on Orange Street lost control.
 
Subsequently, the car veered into the southbound lanes and struck a light pole.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the passenger of the Dodge deceased on arrival. However, the driver did not report any injuries.
 
Due to the accident, a power outage occurred in the neighborhood nearby.
