Person Dies Car Crash on Highway 78 in Vista

 
VISTA, CA (April 4, 2022) — One person died in a car accident on Highway 78 near Emerald Drive on Saturday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the car accident happened around 3:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a crash involving a possible Dodge Journey occurred on Highway 78 West at the Emerald Drive on-ramp.
 
Due to the manner of the accident, one person either died at the scene or at an area hospital.
 
Following the incident, a Hazmat team responded for cleanup and CHP officers arrived to investigate.
