Person Dies in San Diego Bicycle Accident on Harbor Drive

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 23, 2022) — A person died in a bicycle crash on Harbor Drive near Beardsley Street on Tuesday morning.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the fatal bicycle accident happened around 9:30 a.m. in the Barrio Logan area of San Diego.
 
For unknown reasons, a person riding a battery-powered bike attempted to swerve around a stopped box truck but slammed into a Dodge Challenger in the next lane over.
 
As a result of the impact, the victim was launched from the bicycle and thrown over the car’s hood before landing on the street. Shortly after, paramedics arrived and pronounced the cyclist deceased at the scene.
 
At this time, investigators have yet to confirm the liabilities and outstanding details. However, any witnesses who can help the authorities should call the San Diego Police.
