Person Dies in Lake County 2-Car Crash on Highway 20

 
LAKE COUNTY, CA (January 18, 2022) — One person died in a car accident on Highway 20 at 1st Avenue, early Sunday morning.
 
According to a California Highway Patrol report, the fatal car crash happened around 11:55 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a sedan collided with a parked pickup truck in the westbound lane.
 
As a result, one person died in the crash. Shortly after, authorities and PG&E responded to tend to a nearby power pole and guidewire that sustained damages in the crash.
 
At this time, the details of the crash remain unclear. However, an investigation into the cause should confirm more details.
