VISTA, CA (May 9, 2022) — A person was injured in a motorcycle accident on Emerald Drive at Vista Way on Sunday.
 
According to Sgt. Eric Cottrell, the motorcycle accident happened around 6:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a northbound motorcyclist on Emerald Drive collided with a westbound vehicle at the Vista Way intersection.
 
Shortly after, paramedics arrived at the scene and brought the motorcycle rider to Palomar Medical Center where the victim underwent surgery.
 
Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene for the investigation.
 
At this time, reports have not disclosed whether alcohol or drugs played a factor in the accident. However, an ongoing investigation into the details should confirm what had happened.
