ISLA VISTA, CA (February 10, 2022) — One person was injured in a motorcycle accident on Del Playa Drive near Camino Corto on Tuesday night.
 
According to Capt. Daniel Bertucelli, the motorcycle crash happened around 11:20 p.m. For unknown reasons, an unidentified rider operating a motorcycle struck the back of a passenger vehicle near the corner of Camino Corto. Due to the nature of the collision, the motorcyclist suffered major injuries.
 
Soon after, emergency personnel responded to the scene and shuttled the victim to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. As for the occupants in the passenger vehicle, neither of them was injured.
