Person Struck, Injured by Driver on Highway 44 in Redding

 
REDDING, CA (June 10, 2022) — A person hit by a car on Highway 44 near East Street suffered injuries on Wednesday.
 
According to Redding Police Department, the pedestrian accident happened just outside of Shasta Regional Medical Center. Before the accident, Redding police officers received a report about a person causing a disturbance inside the hospital.
 
After medical staff asked the individual to leave, the same person reportedly walked into traffic on Highway 44 directly outside of the hospital.
 
Shortly after, medical personnel brought the victim back into Shasta Regional Medical Center for treatment.
 
At this time, police officers have no other information on this incident. Although, anyone with information should reach out to authorities.
