Person Dies in Sacramento Pedestrian Accident near Madison Avenue

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (November 23, 2021) — A person died in a pedestrian accident near Madison Avenue and Airbase Drive Saturday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian crash happened near the 880 Freeway. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck a pedestrian near the intersection.
 
Upon responding, police found the victim’s belongings and shopping cart strewn across the road.
 
Due to the severity of the victim’s injuries, the unidentified pedestrian died at the scene.
 
At this time, officers have not released the ultimate cause of the crash and have ruled out DUI as a possible source. Anyone with more information on this accident should contact the CHP.
