Person Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Highway 20 in Sutter County

 
SUTTER COUNTY, CA (July 21, 2022) — One person died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 20 near Acacia Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. For unknown reasons, a pedestrian reportedly ran in the highway lanes and was struck by an oncoming car. As a result of the accident, the unidentified pedestrian suffered fatal injuries.
 
Shortly after, CHP officers arrived at the scene and began diverting traffic onto Acacia Avenue for the investigation.
 
At this time, investigators have not released the exact circumstances or leading cause of the crash. However, if anyone has seen this accident, please call the CHP.
