Person Killed in Santa Fe Springs Motorcycle Crash on 5 Freeway

 
SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA (May 12, 2022) — One person died in a motorcycle accident on the 5 Freeway near the 605 Freeway Tuesday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcycle crash took place around 4:05 p.m. For unknown reasons, a sedan and a motorcyclist collided near the Santa Fe Springs border with Downey.
 
As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist suffered severe injuries and died shortly after. Authorities have withheld the victim’s name pending notification of next of kin.
