Fatal Pedestrian Accident Reported on La Costa Avenue in Encinitas

 
ENCINITAS, CA (February 10, 2021) – Police confirmed that a pedestrian died in an accident involving a train on La Costa Avenue on February 7.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Highway 101 at approximately 4:45 PM.
 
Based on a report, the victim was struck by an Amtrak train. However, officials did not state the details that led to the fatal crash. In addition, they did not specify if there were people on board the train.
