72-Year-Old Man Hospitalized after Hit-and-Run on Montezuma Road in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 17, 2022) – A 72-year-old man sustained injuries in a pedestrian hit-and-run accident on Montezuma Road, late Monday evening.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened on August 15 at about 11:30 p.m. The victim was crossing the road when a 2003 BMW station wagon struck him in the 6500 block of Montezuma Road.
 
As per reports, the driver pulled over, exited the vehicle, and fled the scene on foot.
 
Emergency crews transported the victim to a hospital for treatment of cuts to his forearm and head.
 
Investigators later confirmed that the BMW had been reported stolen.
 
SDPD continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
