Rachel Meza Killed in Industry Accident on 60 Freeway near Fullerton Road

 
INDUSTRY, CA (March 24, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed in an accident on Pomona (60) Freeway on Sunday evening.
 
County authorities identified the victim as 45-year-old Rachel Meza, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on March 20 at about 7:52 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a vehicle hit Meza in the westbound lane of the 60 Freeway near Fullerton Road.
 
Meza, who suffered fatal multiple blunt force trauma, was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
However, it is unknown whether the driver of the vehicle stopped and cooperated with investigators.
 
As per reports, responders closed affected lanes until 10:00 p.m.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
