OCEANSIDE, CA (January 19, 2022) – A pedestrian died in a train accident near Surfrider Way and North Cleveland Street in Oceanside on Tuesday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened just before 9:30 a.m. on January 18 near Oceanside Harbor. According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, a Coaster commuter train struck the pedestrian at the railroad crossing.
 
The victim, whose identity was not immediately available, died at the scene.
 
No other information provided at this time. The circumstances surrounding this fatality remain under investigation.
