Pedestrian Dies in Morning Train Accident on Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood

 
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA (June 13, 2021) – A pedestrian died after struck by a train on Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood Saturday morning, June 12.
 
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 9:07 a.m. to the area of the 7100 block of Lankershim Boulevard. Upon arrival, they found the pedestrian suffering from fatal injuries.
 
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, an Amtrak Pacific Surfliner passenger train struck the victim, who died at the scene.
 
There were no injuries aboard the train, the department said.
 
The coroner’s office will release the victim’s identity once family members are properly notified.
 
Authorities are still looking further into this incident.
