Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Train at Athens and Industrial Avenues

 
LINCOLN, CA (November 22, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed in a train accident at Athens Avenue and Industrial Avenue in Lincoln, early Sunday morning.
 
The accident happened around 3:55 a.m. on November 14. According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was either walking or standing on the tracks when the train struck them.
 
The impact caused the pedestrian fatal injuries. Responding officers pronounced them dead at the scene.
 
Coroner’s officials withheld the identity of the victim at this time.
 
It is unclear if there were other injuries sustained in the accident.
 
An investigation is still ongoing.
