Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (December 14, 2022) – A pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash on Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles early morning on December 2.
 
The fatal crash happened around 3:05 a.m. just north of Venice Boulevard. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a silver Mercedes C Class, four-door sedan was traveling north Vermont Avenue when it struck the pedestrian.
 
After striking the victim, the driver did not stop to render aid.
 
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics rushed the pedestrian to a hospital, where the victim died three days later.
 
The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
Police are still investigating the fatality and searching for the hit-and-run suspect. They urged witnesses to contact West Traffic Division Detectives at 213-473-0222. Anonymous tips can be made by calling 800-222-8477.
