Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash on Ramon Road in Thousand Palms

 
THOUSAND PALMS, CA (October 29, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Ramon Road in Thousand Palms Thursday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened around 6:58 p.m. on October 28, at the intersection with Sierra del Sol. According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was crossing the roadway when a vehicle struck them.
 
After hitting the victim, the involved driver did not stop to render aid.
 
Officers arrived to find the pedestrian suffering from major injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, the unidentified victim died at the scene.
 
At this time, the hit-and-run driver remains at large.
 
The CHP is still investigating the fatality and on the lookout for the suspect.
