Agricultural Worker Dies in Morning Hit-and-Run Crash on McFadden Road in Salinas

 
SALINAS, CA (August 8, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on McFadden Road in Salinas Wednesday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened around 5:55 a.m. on August 4, along an agriculture field near Armstrong Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a farmworker was working the fields when a vehicle struck them.
 
The victim, who was only identified as 28-year-old Salinas resident, died at the scene.
 
CHP officials said the involved driver did not stop to render aid. They described the vehicle as a gray minivan.
