Man Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run SUV on Jackson Avenue in San Jose

 
SAN JOSE, CA (January 24, 2022) – A pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash at Jackson Avenue and McKee Road in San Jose on Saturday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened on January 22 near the Regional Medical Center. Police said the male pedestrian was crossing outside of a marked crosswalk when a Toyota SUV struck him.
 
Witnesses said the SUV had a green light at the intersection.
 
When paramedics arrived, they found the pedestrian suffering from significant injuries. They rushed him to a hospital, where the victim later died.
 
Meanwhile, the involved driver fled the scene.
 
The San Jose Police Department is still investigating the fatality. They asked anyone with information on this case to contact them at 408-277-4654.
