29-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Highway 29 in Vallejo

 
VALLEJO, CA (December 29, 2021) – A pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 29 Sunday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened around 7:15 p.m. on December 26, in the 2900 block of Sonoma Boulevard, also known as Highway 29. According to the Vallejo Police Department, officers received reports of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian. When they arrived, they located the victim lying in the roadway with severe injuries. The involved driver and vehicle were not found.
 
Paramedics transported the pedestrian to a local hospital, where he later died.
 
At this time, officers only described the victim as a 29-year-old man.

Police released a surveillance video of the suspect vehicle, which is believed to be a white two-door, possibly a Lexus or Toyota. The vehicle had significant front-end damage from the collision.

An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
