Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Figueroa Street in Harbor Gateway

 
HARBOR GATEWAY, CA (February 7, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed following a hit-and-run collision on Figueroa Street, Thursday evening.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident happened on February 3 at about 9:00 p.m. Due to unknown circumstances, a vehicle hit the pedestrian at the intersection of Figueroa Street and Laconia Boulevard.
 
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and found the pedestrian lying on the ground. Officers later pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the name of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
As per reports, the vehicle that hit the pedestrian immediately left the area. Investigators described the suspect vehicle as a dark-colored sedan.
 
LAPD continues to investigate the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
