Woman Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver near Edinger Avenue in Huntington Beach
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (July 28, 2021) – A pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash near Edinger Avenue and Springdale Street early Wednesday morning.
The fatal crash happened around 3:45 a.m. on July 28, across from Marina High School and near a small shopping center.
According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, the female pedestrian was walking in the area when a vehicle struck her.
As a result, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. She was not yet identified.
Meanwhile, the involved driver did not stop after the crash and remains at large.
Crews closed Edinger Avenue between Springdale Street and Plymouth Lane while they worked on the scene.
Police continue to investigate the incident and on the lookout for the suspect.
