Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Vehicle on Anaheim Street in Long Beach
LONG BEACH, CA (November 4, 2024) – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash at Anaheim Street and Orange Avenue in Long Beach late Saturday evening.
The fatal crash happened around 11:00 p.m. on November 2. According to the Long Beach Police Department, the male pedestrian was walking outside of a marked crosswalk when a vehicle struck him.
After the crash, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene without rendering aid.
Police believe the suspect vehicle was a newer model Chevrolet Silverado. It was heading westbound on Anaheim Street when it struck the vehicle.
Arriving paramedics pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
