Hit-and-Run on Wible Road in Benton Park Area Leaves Pedestrian Injured

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 1, 2021) – A pedestrian suffered injuries two weeks ago after a hit-and-run crash on Wible Road in the Benton Park area of south Bakersfield.
 
The crash happened around 8:46 a.m. on Thursday, May 20, at the intersection with Belle Terrace. According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle struck the pedestrian who was either walking or standing in the area.
 
Paramedics responded and took the pedestrian to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the involved driver fled the scene after the crash.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the incident and on the lookout for the hit-and-run suspect.
