Driver Wanted after Pedestrian Hit-and-Run on West Carrillo Street in Santa Barbara
SANTA BARBARA, CA (July 12, 2021) – A pedestrian sustained injuries, June 27, following a hit-and-run accident on West Carrillo Street.
According to the Santa Barbara Police Department, the incident happened shortly after midnight. Due to unknown circumstances, a vehicle hit a pedestrian in the area of 200 West Carrillo Street.
Officers later arrived at the scene and found the victim lying in the middle of the road with significant injuries. Paramedics then transported the victim to Cottage Hospital for treatment.
Investigators described the suspect vehicle as an early to mid-2000s Toyota pick-up truck, either a Tacoma or Tundra. Officers also found the front grill of the Toyota emblem at the scene. As per reports, the hit-and-run vehicle sustained damage to the headlights.
SBPD continues to investigate the hit-and-run. Officers ask anyone with information to call Traffic investigator Carl Kamin at (805) 897-3719.
