Late Evening Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 371 in Anza Sends Pedestrian into a Ditch

 
ANZA, CA (May 17, 2022) – A pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 371 in Anza, late Thursday evening on May 12.
 
The crash happened around 11:20 p.m. near Cahuilla Creek Casino. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle struck pedestrian who was walking in the area. The impact sent the victim off the roadway and into a ditch.
 
After hitting the pedestrian, the involved driver did not stop to render aid.
 
Paramedics arrived soon after and took the victim to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.
