HAYWARD, CA (May 16, 2022) – A pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run crash at A Street and Meekland Avenue in Hayward on Friday morning, May 13.
 
The crash happened around 8:59 a.m. Police said the victim was walking at the intersection when a vehicle struck them. The driver of the vehicle then fled the scene, leaving the pedestrian injured.
 
Paramedics arrived soon after and took the victim to a hospital for treatment.
 
At this time, the hit-and-run suspect remains at large. The Hayward Police Department is still investigating the crash.
